OVERVIEW

River City Cheer and Gymnastics is the Kenai Peninsula’s dedicated gymnastics and cheerleading facility, offering a comprehensive range of programs for children of all ages and skill levels. Located in Kenai, Alaska, River City serves the broader Kenai Peninsula community with recreational gymnastics, all-star competitive cheerleading, dance, and Junior Olympic gymnastics programs.

As a registered USAG member club, River City is committed to providing quality instruction in a safe and welcoming 8,300 square foot facility. The gym is led by Women’s Head Coach Randy Dobbs and a staff dedicated to building strong foundations in gymnastics and cheerleading while fostering confidence, teamwork, and sportsmanship in every participant.

THE GYM

River City Cheer and Gymnastics operates an 8,300 square foot facility in Kenai, Alaska, equipped to support a full range of gymnastics, cheer, and dance programming. The facility is designed to accommodate athletes from toddlers through competitive-level gymnasts and cheerleaders, with appropriate space and equipment for each program.

River City is the only combination cheer and gymnastics facility on the Kenai Peninsula, making it the primary destination for families in the region seeking structured programming in these disciplines. The gym supports athletes at every stage, from a child’s first tumbling class to Junior Olympic gymnastics competition and All-Star cheer team participation.

The coaching staff at River City brings experience in both gymnastics and cheerleading instruction, providing athletes with well-rounded development across disciplines. PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Recreational Gymnastics and Tumbling

River City offers recreational gymnastics and tumbling classes for children of all ages, including the popular Tiny Tots Tumbling program for younger children. Classes are designed to build foundational movement skills, coordination, and confidence in a fun and supportive environment.

Junior Olympic Gymnastics Team

River City fields a Junior Olympic gymnastics team as a USAG member club, preparing athletes for regional and state-level competition. The program provides structured skill development and competitive experience for athletes who are ready to take their gymnastics to the next level.

All-Star Competitive Cheerleading

River City offers All-Star competitive cheerleading for athletes interested in pursuing cheer competition. The program develops tumbling, stunting, and performance skills in a team environment, preparing athletes for competition at regional and national All-Star cheer events.

Dance Classes

River City offers dance classes as part of its broader programming, providing children with an additional avenue for physical expression, coordination development, and performance experience alongside gymnastics and cheer.

Homeschool Physical Education
