OVERVIEW
Ketchikan Gymnastics Club is a nonprofit parent-run gymnastics organization serving the Ketchikan community and broader Southeast Alaska region. As a USAG member club, KGC provides gymnastics programs for children of all ages and skill levels, from preschoolers taking their first steps in the sport to competitive athletes representing Ketchikan at regional meets.
KGC is guided by a volunteer parent committee and a team of certified coaches committed to empowering youth through movement, confidence building, and community. The club is dedicated to teaching valuable life skills including discipline, character, and sportsmanship within a safe and supportive gymnastics environment.
THE GYM
Ketchikan Gymnastics Club operates its facility on North Tongass Highway in Ketchikan, Alaska, providing the community with access to quality gymnastics instruction in a sport that has few other local outlets in the region. As a nonprofit organization, KGC relies on membership fees, fundraising events, and the dedication of its volunteer community to sustain and grow its programs.
The coaching staff at Ketchikan Gymnastics Club brings experience and certification to the program, providing athletes with proper technical instruction in a structured and safe environment. The club’s Women’s Team is led by Head Coach Lacey M. Bailey, who guides competitive athletes through the USAG Junior Olympic program.
KGC also carries a selection of leotards and gymnastics retail items, providing families with convenient access to gymnastics apparel alongside their programming. The club’s showcase events serve as important fundraisers that support continued programming for the community.
PROGRAMS AT THE GYM
Recreational Gymnastics
Ketchikan Gymnastics Club offers recreational gymnastics classes for children ranging from preschool age through teens. Classes are designed to build foundational gymnastics skills, physical fitness, and confidence in a safe and structured environment. Coaches work with each child at their individual level, ensuring a positive and productive experience for all participants.

Girls Competitive Team
KGC fields a girls competitive team as a USAG member club, competing at Compulsory levels in the Junior Olympic program. The team participates in regional competitions, giving athletes in Southeast Alaska an opportunity to experience competitive gymnastics and represent their community on a broader stage.
The competitive program is led by Women’s Team Head Coach Lacey M. Bailey. Entry onto the competitive team is based on coach evaluation and invitation.
Gymnastics Retail
Ketchikan Gymnastics Club carries a selection of leotards and gymnastics apparel for children and adults, providing convenient access to gymnastics gear for club members and the broader community.
