OVERVIEW
Alpha Gymnastics is one of the Pacific Northwest’s most respected competitive gymnastics programs, offering developmental gymnastics classes and competitive team for boys and girls ages 18 months through 18 years. Established in 1992, Alpha Gymnastics has operated under several names and owners over the decades, but its core philosophy has never changed: to educate and inspire students and athletes to develop quality gymnastics skills while building strong self-esteem with character and integrity.
Alpha Gymnastics is proud to be ranked among the top competitive gymnastics clubs in the Pacific Northwest, with a girls’ program competing in USAG Junior Olympic and Xcel tracks and a boys’ program designed to develop athletes all the way to the international elite level.
THE GYM
Alpha Gymnastics operates a 12,000 square foot state-of-the-art training facility at 15000 Redmond-Woodinville Road in Woodinville, Washington. The facility is equipped to support full competitive training across all women’s and men’s gymnastics apparatus, with the capacity to host athlete development from first recreational class through national-level competition.
The coaching staff at Alpha Gymnastics brings a depth of experience and technical knowledge that is reflected in the program’s competitive results. Owner and head coach Colleen Long is recognized throughout the Pacific Northwest gymnastics community for her genuine care for athletes and her ability to develop gymnasts at every stage of their development.
Alpha Gymnastics also offers one of the most distinctive men’s elite programs in the state, drawing athletes from across Washington for intensive training under an expert coaching team. The program’s focus on developing international elite gymnasts reflects the gym’s commitment to excellence at the highest levels of the sport.
PROGRAMS AT THE GYM
Preschool and Parent-Tot Classes
Alpha Gymnastics offers preschool classes for ages 2.5 and up, along with parent-tot and drop-in classes for children as young as 4 months. Classes focus on foundational movement, coordination, and a love of physical activity in an age-appropriate and nurturing setting.

Recreational Gymnastics
Alpha Gymnastics offers co-ed recreational classes for children from preschool age through adult. Classes build foundational gymnastics skills progressively, with options including tumbling, trampoline, and full gymnastics rotations. Classes are also offered in Russian for families who prefer instruction in that language.
Girls Competitive Team
Alpha’s girls competitive program competes in the USAG Junior Olympic Development Program at compulsory levels 2 through 5 and optional levels 6 through 10, as well as TOPS. The Xcel Program is available for athletes seeking competitive experience with a lighter training commitment, spanning Bronze through Diamond divisions. Placement on any competitive team is by coach evaluation.
Boys and Men’s Programs
Alpha Gymnastics offers a boys recreational program as well as a Men’s Elite program that trains athletes across all six men’s gymnastics events at the Junior Olympic, Junior Elite, and Senior Squad levels. The program draws athletes from across Washington state and competes at regional and national levels.
