Ascend Gymnastics (Sumner)

OVERVIEW

Ascend Gymnastics Sumner is the newest location from Ascend Gymnastics, the 2022 USA Gymnastics National Program of the Year. Veteran-owned and operated, the Sumner location is situated just north of downtown Sumner and serves families across Pierce County with recreational gymnastics, competitive team training, Ninja programming, and preschool classes for children from 18 months through 18 years.

Ascend Gymnastics is committed to building strong foundations in athletics and character development in a welcoming, professional environment. The Sumner location brings the same nationally recognized quality and programming that has made Ascend one of Washington’s most respected gymnastics organizations to the east Pierce County community.

THE GYM

Ascend Gymnastics Sumner operates at 1627 45th Street E in Sumner, Washington, conveniently located just north of downtown Sumner for families across the greater Puyallup and east Pierce County area. The facility features a parent viewing area with free WiFi and free parking, reflecting the organization’s commitment to a comfortable and welcoming experience for families.

As part of the nationally recognized Ascend Gymnastics organization, the Sumner location operates under the same coaching standards, curriculum, and programming infrastructure that earned Ascend its 2022 USA Gymnastics National Program of the Year recognition. Athletes at Sumner benefit from the coaching expertise and organizational support built across all Ascend locations.

PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Preschool and Recreational Gymnastics

Ascend Gymnastics Sumner offers preschool gymnastics for children beginning at 18 months, along with recreational classes for children through their teen years. Classes are progressively structured to develop foundational gymnastics skills, coordination, and confidence.

Saturday: 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Sunday: Closed

Competitive Team and Ninja Classes

Ascend Gymnastics Sumner offers competitive team training within the Ascend organization’s nationally recognized program structure. Ninja classes are also available for children interested in obstacle and athletic movement training in a high-energy and engaging format.
