OVERVIEW

Gymnastics Plus has been enriching the lives of Yakima Valley youth for more than 40 years, building strong foundations through gymnastics, swimming, and an on-site preschool in a warm and family-centered environment. Founded and operated with a deep commitment to the whole child, Gymnastics Plus is one of Central Washington’s most comprehensive youth activity facilities, offering gymnastics instruction for children 18 months through 18 years alongside Kids Castle, an indoor soft play area for children up to age 11, and a seasonal swimming program that runs each summer in the gym’s on-site pool.

Managed by Mel and Jeff, who bring a wealth of knowledge and a healthy resume of gymnastics experience to their work, Gymnastics Plus has earned a loyal following in the Yakima Valley over four decades. The gym also hosts a competitive cheer program called Yakima Elite Cheer, making it one of the most versatile youth activity destinations in the region.

THE GYM

Gymnastics Plus operates at 2121 W Lincoln Avenue in Yakima, Washington. The facility includes a full gymnastics training area, Kids Castle indoor playground, foam pit, trampolines, an inflatable bounce house, and an on-site swimming pool used for summer lessons and programming. The facility is available for birthday parties featuring gymnastics equipment, Kids Castle, trampolines, the foam pit, and the bounce house, making it a popular celebration destination for Yakima families.

The gym also operates an academic preschool on-site, offering an early childhood education experience that supports the development of young children through structured learning in a movement-enriched environment. Schools regularly rent the gym on Friday nights for fun nights, reflecting the trust the Yakima community has placed in the facility over more than four decades of service.

PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Gymnastics Classes

Gymnastics Plus offers gymnastics instruction for children ages 18 months through 18 years, with classes structured by age and skill level. Programs include preschool gymnastics, recreational classes, and competitive team training. The gym hosts its own competitive meet series, with meets typically held in December, January, and February each year.

Kids Castle and Swimming

Kids Castle is the gym’s indoor soft play area for children up to age 11, offering a safe and active indoor play option for families year-round regardless of weather. The on-site swimming pool runs summer swimming lessons from June through August in 88-degree water, with classes available for beginner through experienced swimmers of all ages.

Academic Preschool and Birthday Parties

Gymnastics Plus operates an academic preschool on-site and offers birthday party packages that make use of the full facility, including gymnastics equipment, Kids Castle, trampolines, foam pit, and bounce house. No School Day Camps are also offered during school holidays, featuring Kids Castle, games, open gym, coloring, and crafting activities.
