Spokane Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Spokane Gymnastics has been a cornerstone of the Spokane Valley gymnastics community since its founding, operating for more than 15 years from its 30,000 square foot Argonne Village facility. Originally established as Spokane Elite Gymnastics, the program was purchased in 2010 by Nadine Burgess, who renamed it Spokane Gymnastics to better reflect its mission of providing an exceptional gymnastics experience to students of all levels and goals.

Spokane Gymnastics exists to make a positive impact in the lives of every student who walks through the doors. The program’s purpose is to develop happy, healthy, and confident young men and women through gymnastics instruction that builds strength, skill, and character in a safe, positive, and encouraging environment.

THE GYM

Spokane Gymnastics operates at 2515 N Locust Road in Spokane Valley, Washington, in a fully air-conditioned 30,000 square foot facility near Argonne and Montgomery, just east of the Yokes Fresh Market. The facility features all Olympic events including spring floor, high bar, parallel bars, uneven bars, vault, rings, pommel horse, and beams, plus a 40-foot Tumbl Trak, rod floor, inflatable jumping castle, and an air bag pit with zip-line. A walking track, toddler area, and parent viewing areas allow families to watch all rotations from the upstairs mezzanine while staying out of the training environment.

Every coach at Spokane Gymnastics undergoes a background check and rigorous training before coaching their own classes, with ongoing monthly training sessions and attendance at local, statewide, and regional conferences throughout the year. The gym has a long track record of developing both recreational athletes and high-quality competitive gymnasts in an environment where the best interest of the child is always the primary focus.

PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Preschool and Recreational Gymnastics

Spokane Gymnastics offers gymnastics programming for toddlers through teens, with a progressive class structure that builds coordination, strength, and gymnastics skill at each student’s own pace. Classes are offered Monday through Saturday throughout the year, with a philosophy that gymnastics should be fun, safe, and beneficial for every participant regardless of their level or goal.

Competitive Team

Spokane Gymnastics fields a competitive gymnastics team as a USAG member club, developing athletes through the full range of Junior Olympic levels in a program that has produced high-quality competitive gymnasts throughout its history. The coaching staff balances technical excellence with a genuine focus on keeping gymnastics meaningful, fun, and rewarding for every competitive athlete in the program.
