North Coast Gymnastics Academy (Bellingham)

OVERVIEW

North Coast Gymnastics Academy is Whatcom County’s premier gymnastics facility, operating from its 12,000 square foot Bellingham location and a second facility in Lynden. NCGA believes that all children have the potential for greatness, and focuses on teaching discipline, respect, responsibility, dedication, and goal-setting alongside gymnastics instruction in a fun, structured, and character-building environment.

NCGA offers recreational gymnastics for girls and boys, competitive team programs, NinjaZone obstacle and martial arts fusion classes, parkour, cheerleading tumbling camps, birthday parties, a rock climbing wall, and open gym, making it one of the most comprehensive gymnastics and youth activity centers in northwest Washington.

THE GYM

North Coast Gymnastics Academy’s primary location is at 1710 Express Drive in Bellingham, Washington, offering a 12,000 square foot gymnastics facility with professional apparatus, foam pits, trampolines, the North Coast Rock Wall, and dedicated areas for Ninja and parkour programming. The facility is bright, well-maintained, and designed to provide a welcoming and inspiring environment for athletes of all ages.

NCGA’s coaching staff is safety-certified and trained to guide each child safely through progressive skill development while building the self-confidence, balance, poise, fitness skills, and coordination that provide an excellent foundation for all sports and life. The gym’s obstacle course, wipe-out style birthday party setup, and parachute play activities are among the features most celebrated by families who have made NCGA their gymnastics home in Whatcom County.

PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Preschool Gymnastics

NCGA offers preschool gymnastics classes designed to develop large and small gross motor skills, coordination, socialization, and a love of exploration and movement. Classes are structured to be engaging and age-appropriate for the youngest participants, building foundational skills in a fun and nurturing environment.

Recreational and Boys Gymnastics

NCGA offers girls recreational gymnastics classes at multiple levels, emphasizing skill progression in a positive and fun atmosphere. Boys gymnastics classes cover all six men’s events including vault, parallel bars, pommel horse, high bar, rings, and floor exercise, taught by coaches who work to maximize engagement and fun while developing technical fundamentals.

NinjaZone, Parkour, and Competitive Team

NinjaZone at NCGA combines obstacle course training, gymnastics, martial arts, and freestyle movement with an emphasis on individual progression. Parkour classes teach running, jumping, vaulting, rolling, and climbing skills in a safe and guided setting. NCGA’s competitive gymnastics team participates in USAG-sanctioned meets and is developed through the gym’s rigorous and caring competitive program structure.
