Bay Aerials Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Bay Aerials Gymnastics has been one of the East Bay’s most recognized gymnastics programs since its founding in 2004. Located in a 20,000-square-foot training facility at 4883 Davenport Place in Fremont, Bay Aerials serves students of all ages and levels with preschool gymnastics, recreational classes, girls’ competitive teams, aerial silks, Ninja classes, birthday parties, and seasonal camps. The program is built on a philosophy of goal-driven learning, positive reinforcement, and cognitive, social, and physical development — a philosophy that has made Bay Aerials a trusted choice for families throughout the Fremont and Tri-City area for over two decades.

Bay Aerials competes as an active NorCal member club and fields competitive teams in USAG Developmental Program (DP) events at Levels 6 through 10, as well as an NGA (National Gymnastics Association) competitive program. The gym’s DP team has produced numerous state, regional, and national champions and has earned recognition as home to some of the top female gymnasts in the country.

THE GYM

The 20,000-square-foot Davenport Place facility is designed so each program has its own dedicated space while still maintaining an open, communal feel where families can see what’s happening throughout the gym at any time. Equipment includes full women’s artistic apparatus, trampolines, foam pits, and dedicated preschool areas. The gym’s Sweet Peas and Lil Ninjas programs serve the youngest students, and coaching staff are USA Gymnastics Safety Certified instructors trained in the Bay Aerials Teaching Difference — a coaching methodology centered on positive reinforcement. Bay Aerials also operates a second location in Cupertino (Bay Aerials Cupertino) at the Monta Vista Recreation Center.

PROGRAMS

Sweet Peas and Lil Ninjas (Preschool)

The Sweet Peas program is Bay Aerials’ specialized preschool gymnastics offering for children ages two through six, providing developmentally appropriate gymnastics in a nurturing, safe environment. Lil Ninjas classes bring obstacle-based movement training to the youngest students, combining gymnastics fundamentals with imaginative play.

Recreational Gymnastics, Aerial Silks, and Ninja

School-age recreational classes are available for girls at multiple levels, introducing students to all major gymnastics events. Aerial Silks tumbling classes and Ninja obstacle courses provide popular alternative movement programs. Birthday parties and open gym sessions round out the recreational offerings.

Competitive Team

Bay Aerials’ DP team competes at USAG Levels 6 through 10, with a track record of producing state, regional, and national champions. The gym also operates an NGA competitive program as a developmentally appropriate competitive option for athletes across levels. Future Team placements are by invitation based on a gymnast’s potential to progress at an accelerated pace.
