Byers Gymnastics Center - Roseville

OVERVIEW

Byers Gymnastics Center has been a household name in Northern California gymnastics since 1986, when the Roseville location first opened on Opportunity Drive. Now operating three locations across the Sacramento metro area, Byers serves thousands of children each year in Roseville, Citrus Heights, and Rocklin. The Roseville facility is the original and flagship location, providing a safe and friendly environment for kids to build confidence that will last a lifetime. The Byers competitive program is one of the most decorated in Northern California, earning its distinction as the only NorCal gym to have competed at USA Gymnastics National Championships consecutively for over 11 years.

Byers Gymnastics is known for a culture that goes beyond sport, teaching athletes integrity, honesty, strength, and commitment in all aspects of life. Several Byers alumni have gone on to compete in college gymnastics and acrobatics and tumbling programs, reflecting the long-term athletic development the program provides.

THE GYM

The Roseville location at 2009 Opportunity Drive is located just 20 minutes from Sacramento and features state-of-the-art equipment for all gymnastics events. The facility supports a full range of programming from parent-participation toddler classes through Level 10 competitive training. The gym also hosts regular practice gym open sessions and Parents Night Out events. Charter school homeschool classes are available for flexible-schedule families.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Tots Classes

Beginning at approximately 18 months, parent-participation classes introduce young children to gymnastics through songs, circuits, and movement exploration. Three-year-olds progress into Tot classes, where structured activities build coordination and early gymnastics skills.

Recreational Classes

Girls’ and boys’ recreational classes serve ages 6 through 18 at beginner through advanced levels. Girls work on vault, bars, beam, floor, tumble trak, and trampoline, while boys work the six men’s Olympic events. Homeschool daytime classes are available as an alternative to afternoon sessions.

Competitive Team

Byers fields competitive teams at USAG Levels 3 through 10, with a strong record of producing state and national-level athletes. The optional program regularly qualifies athletes to Western Championships and National Championships, and team rankings have consistently placed Byers among the top programs in NorCal.
