Cal-Star Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Cal-Star Gymnastics has been serving Marin County from its Novato location since 1996, offering recreational gymnastics, competitive team training, all-star cheerleading, tumbling, and parkour/ninja gym classes. The gym is known in the community for its Smart Training philosophy and commitment to creating athletes who are not just skilled but disciplined, confident, and proud of their hard work. Cal-Star’s competitive teams at Levels 3 through 10 have produced athletes who have competed at the national level.

The gym is led by owner Amber, who built a reputation for hands-on, detail-oriented coaching and a genuine investment in every athlete’s growth. Cal-Star is a consistent presence in NorCal competition circuits and is recognized for its year-round camp offerings and popular Power Play open gym sessions.

THE GYM

Cal-Star is located at 70 Digital Drive, Suite E in Novato, a well-equipped training facility with trampolines, a foam pit, bars, beams, vault, rings, and a rock wall. The facility hosts both boys and girls competitive programs and offers an open gym format called Power Play available weekday mornings and Saturday evenings. The gym is established as a local favorite for birthday parties and holiday break camps in addition to its year-round class offerings.

PROGRAMS

Recreational Gymnastics

Classes are available for children ages 3 through 17 at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels. Boys’ recreational classes cover the six men’s Olympic events, while girls’ classes focus on the four women’s events. The advanced recreational level serves as a bridge toward the competitive team program for interested athletes.

Competitive Teams

Cal-Star fields both boys and girls competitive teams at USAG Levels 3 through 10. The top athletes have competed at national championships, and the program is well represented throughout the NorCal competitive season. Athletes interested in joining the team are evaluated by coaching staff.

Cheerleading and Ninja Gym

All-star cheerleading and tumbling classes are offered alongside a parkour-style ninja gym program, making Cal-Star a comprehensive training facility for a range of athletic disciplines beyond traditional gymnastics.
