Central California Gymnastics Institute (CCGI)

OVERVIEW

Central California Gymnastics Institute (CCGI) has been serving the Visalia community since 1989, making it one of the longest-running gymnastics programs in the San Joaquin Valley. Located at 9514 West Pershing Avenue in west Visalia, CCGI is a comprehensive gymnastics and cheer center built around the belief that gymnastics develops strong, healthy children and provides lasting life lessons including goal setting, achievement, hard work, and determination. Over three and a half decades, CCGI has grown into a multi-program facility that includes not only gymnastics and cheer but also a licensed daycare and preschool program — The Learning Center — giving Central Valley families an all-in-one destination for child development and youth athletics.

CCGI is a NorCal member club and USA Gymnastics member, hosting notable events including the Whitney Classic and other Xcel-level competitions at the Visalia Convention Center — the same venue where NorCal State Championships are held. The gym serves children from 18 months through competitive-level athletes in a welcoming, family-oriented environment.

THE GYM

The West Pershing Avenue facility is a full-service gymnastics center equipped for recreational and competitive programs alongside the on-site Learning Center licensed daycare and preschool. CCGI is open six days a week and fields competitive teams in the NorCal Junior Olympic and Xcel programs. Its central Visalia location makes it easily accessible for families across the southern San Joaquin Valley, including Tulare, Porterville, and the broader Visalia-Hanford-Tulare metro area.

PROGRAMS

The Learning Center (Licensed Daycare and Preschool)

The Learning Center at CCGI is a licensed daycare facility serving preschool-age children with a curriculum filled with exploration, discovery, and learning. The preschool and after-school program provides a safe, active, and nurturing environment for families who also participate in CCGI’s gymnastics and cheer programs.

Recreational Gymnastics and Cheer

Classes are available for children from 18 months through competitive age at multiple skill levels. The cheer program adds a second competitive and recreational pathway for athletes interested in performance and team sport. Birthday parties, seasonal camps, and holiday camps round out CCGI’s community programming.

Competitive Team

CCGI’s competitive team program competes in NorCal-sanctioned events and hosts meets at the Visalia Convention Center, giving Central Valley families access to high-level competition close to home. The gym fields teams at multiple levels in both the Junior Olympic and Xcel programs.
