Extreme Gymnastics and Cheer

OVERVIEW

Extreme Gymnastics and Cheer has been a cornerstone of gymnastics in the Sierra foothills for over 26 years, operating from its 16,000-square-foot facility in Loomis, approximately 20 minutes east of Sacramento. Founded and operated by Tammy and Ted Woltz, the gym is a NorCal member club with a long track record of maintaining high-level girls’ and boys’ competitive teams. The facility’s extensive history in the foothills community and its coaching staff’s depth of experience make Extreme one of the most established gymnastics centers in the Sacramento metro region.

In addition to competitive gymnastics, the gym is known for its zip line, rope swing, and parkour-style programs, giving it an adventurous identity that appeals to children seeking a blend of gymnastics and action sports training. Extreme is consistently described as a fun and safe environment where coaches are passionate about their athletes and genuinely enjoy their work.

THE GYM

The 16,000-square-foot facility at 3210 Swetzer Road in Loomis is among the largest gymnastics facilities in the Sacramento foothills region. The gym is equipped for all gymnastics events and features additional apparatus including a zip line and rope swing that set it apart as a multi-activity training environment. The facility hosts competitive teams for both boys and girls that have maintained national-level aspirations for over two and a half decades.

PROGRAMS

Recreational Gymnastics

Recreational classes span all ages and skill levels, from young beginners through teens. The class program is built around skill-based progressions in a fun, motivating environment. Kinder-level classes are available for the youngest participants, and parkour-style urban gymnastics classes are offered for children looking for an active complement to traditional gymnastics instruction.

Competitive Teams

Girls’ and boys’ competitive teams compete throughout the NorCal season. The program has maintained high-level optional and compulsory teams for more than 26 years, reflecting its deep commitment to competitive gymnastics development.
