OVERVIEW

The North Bay Athletic Association (NBAA) is a nonprofit gymnastics organization located at 415 Mississippi Street in Vallejo, committed to serving the surrounding communities of Vallejo, American Canyon, Benicia, Cordelia, Suisun, and Fairfield through a dedication to the healthy growth and development of youth. Operating one of the largest fully equipped gymnastics facilities in the North Bay area, NBAA offers classes, competitive teams, seasonal camps, and birthday parties for children ages 1 through 16, with a nationally recognized TOPs program and both Junior Olympic and Xcel competitive teams.

NBAA is a significant presence in the NorCal gymnastics community, regularly hosting major competitions including the Hollywood Invitational and Xcel State Championships at its home venue at the Solano County Fairgrounds, McCormack Hall. The organization’s nonprofit status reflects its commitment to accessible, affordable gymnastics for all community members regardless of background.

THE GYM

The Mississippi Street facility in Vallejo is one of the most complete gymnastics training centers in Solano County, with full apparatus for women’s artistic gymnastics alongside facilities for competitive team programs at multiple levels. NBAA hosts competitions that draw clubs from across Northern California, and its gym is praised for the quality of its layout and the efficient management of competition events. The TOPs Testing program designates NBAA as a recognized developmental training resource in the USA Gymnastics pipeline.

PROGRAMS

Instructional Classes

Classes are available for children ages 1 through 16 at multiple levels, from parent-participation toddler sessions through advanced recreational gymnastics. New gymnasts are welcome to try a free trial class before enrolling, and the registration process is managed through the gym’s online portal.

Competitive Teams and TOPs

NBAA fields both Junior Olympic and Xcel competitive teams in the NorCal circuit. The nationally recognized TOPs program provides a structured pathway for younger athletes interested in pursuing higher-level gymnastics development.

Camps and Parties

Seasonal camps and birthday party packages are available throughout the year, rounding out the gym’s community programming alongside its regular class and competitive offerings.
