Profile
OVERVIEW
Eclipse Gymnastics Academy opened in November 2020 in Loma Linda, founded by head coach Laura with a philosophy as clear as it is uncommon in competitive gymnastics: build a program rooted in love, respect, and authentic positive coaching. Located at 295 East Caroline Street in Loma Linda, Eclipse has grown rapidly since its founding through the personal investment its coaches make in every student — a commitment that drives families to travel long distances to train at what many describe as the most supportive and genuine gymnastics environment they have ever experienced. The gym serves students with preschool gymnastics, recreational classes, and a competitive team program.
Eclipse is a SoCal member club and USA Gymnastics member. Coach Laura and her staff hold USAG certifications and maintain SafeSport credentials. The gym’s culture is built around community — athletes celebrate each other’s achievements, ring a bell when they master a hard-won skill, and form bonds with coaches and teammates that extend well beyond the gymnasium floor.
THE GYM
The Caroline Street facility in Loma Linda is a focused gymnastics training environment where the quality of coaching is prioritized above facility size or equipment quantity. The gym is praised for its clean, organized space and welcoming atmosphere. A bulletin board displays stars marking athletes’ skill achievements, and the coaching team — which includes Coaches Laura, Kerri, Sasha, and Rebecca — provides an unusually high level of personal attention to every student from the first recreational class through the competitive team program.
PROGRAMS
Preschool and Recreational Gymnastics
Recreational classes cover all major gymnastics events with a coaching philosophy focused on skill-based progression, positive reinforcement, and genuine care for each student’s physical and emotional development. Coach Rebecca leads the recreational program with the same level of dedication that makes Eclipse’s team program exceptional.
Competitive Team
Eclipse’s competitive team competes in SoCal-sanctioned events, with athletes developing strong technique and unshakeable confidence under Coach Laura’s guidance. Team placement is by invitation, and the program’s culture of mutual support means athletes arrive to competition having trained in an environment where self-belief is actively developed rather than assumed.
