OVERVIEW

Jamestown Gymnastics Club is located at 1310 10th Avenue NE in Jamestown, a non-profit organization founded in 1978 and now in its fifth decade of serving the Jamestown community and surrounding Stutsman County with recreational gymnastics, a competitive team, and a Show Team. Jamestown is a city of around 15,000 on the James River in central North Dakota, home to the University of Jamestown and one of the state’s most beloved landmarks — the National Buffalo Museum and the world’s largest concrete buffalo, Buffalo. The 10th Avenue NE address in Jamestown’s northeast quadrant gives families throughout the city and the surrounding rural communities access to one of the oldest gymnastics programs in the Dakotas, with nearly 50 years of community service behind its coaching program and competitive traditions. JGC is the training home of the Jamestown High School Blue Jay gymnastics team, giving it the same dual club-and-school-team role that several of North Dakota’s most established programs fill.

The Jamestown Gymnastics Club holds USA Gymnastics membership and competes within the USAG upper Midwest region, with the competitive team, Show Team, and Recreational program covering the full range from first-time beginner through competitive optional levels. Open gyms are held Fridays from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM for children ages 2 to 18. Homeschool classes are available for families who prefer a weekday daytime option, with preschool open gym sessions also offered for the youngest participants.

THE GYM

The Jamestown Gymnastics Club facility at 1310 10th Avenue NE is equipped for recreational and competitive gymnastics with all Olympic events apparatus. The gym hosts Friday evening open gym from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM for ages 2 to 18, with pre-registration required through the Jackrabbit class portal. Preschool open gym, homeschool classes, and birthday parties are available throughout the year. PROGRAMS

Recreational Gymnastics and Open Gym

Jamestown Gymnastics Club offers recreational gymnastics for children from 18 months through the teen years, with Friday evening open gym from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM for ages 2 to 18, preschool open gym for the youngest participants, and homeschool class sessions on Wednesday afternoons.

Competitive Team, Show Team, and Blue Jay High School

The competitive team competes within the USAG upper Midwest region at Xcel and Junior Olympic levels. The Show Team performs at community events and competitions. JGC serves as the training home for the Jamestown High School Blue Jay gymnastics team.
