Gillette Elite Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Gillette Elite Gymnastics (GEG) is a competitive and recreational gymnastics center serving the Gillette area and northeast Wyoming. The gym’s mission is to provide positive, welcoming programs for boys and girls of all abilities that emphasize good sportsmanship, discipline, and physical fitness, while instilling confidence and self-esteem. GEG is an active member of USA Gymnastics and hosts the Wyoming State Gymnastics Championships, welcoming over 400 athletes from across the state in March 2025.

The gym produces competitive athletes across multiple USAG levels and Xcel divisions, with gymnasts regularly qualifying for regional competition. GEG is one of Gillette’s cornerstone youth sports organizations, providing the community with structured, professional gymnastics training led by experienced, certified coaches.

THE GYM

Gillette Elite Gymnastics is located at 204 West 1st Street in Gillette and features equipment for training on all four women’s events as well as boys’ events. All coaches are required to be USA Gymnastics certified and must complete current Safe Sport training. The gym enforces consistent standards for athletes and their families regarding competition uniforms, conduct, and participation requirements.

As the host of the 2025 Wyoming State Gymnastics Championships — the state’s largest annual competitive gymnastics event — GEG has demonstrated the organizational capacity and facility quality to run a meet serving hundreds of athletes across 14 teams statewide.

PROGRAMS

Recreational Classes

GEG offers recreational gymnastics for children of various ages and skill levels, building foundational gymnastics skills on all apparatus. Classes emphasize safety, proper progressions, and enjoyment of the sport.

Competitive Team

The GEG competitive program covers USAG Levels 2 through 8 and Xcel Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Athletes who meet skill requirements and obtain USAG membership numbers are eligible to compete at sanctioned meets throughout Wyoming, Montana, and South Dakota. Team athletes are required to meet specific standards for uniforms, conduct, and commitment.

Open Gym

GEG offers open gym sessions for students to practice skills and enjoy free movement time on the equipment. Contact the gym for current open gym schedules.
