Rising Stars Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Rising Stars Gymnastics is a community gymnastics program located in Lander, Wyoming, serving athletes throughout Fremont County. The gym’s motto — “Where Every Child Is a Star” — reflects its commitment to making gymnastics a positive, affirming experience for every student who walks through its doors. Rising Stars serves young athletes from beginners through competitive team level, competing annually at the Wyoming State Gymnastics Championships.

At the 2024 Wyoming State Championships, Rising Stars athletes placed in multiple events across several divisions, with the program placing both 6th and 2nd overall in their respective team divisions. The gym is a member of USA Gymnastics and trains athletes in the Xcel program structure, competing throughout the region each season.

THE GYM

Rising Stars Gymnastics is located at 3011 Highway 287 in Lander and operates as a dedicated gymnastics facility with apparatus for all standard events. Classes are structured by level and age, with an emphasis on consistent progressions and individualized attention for each athlete. New students are welcomed with a $15 trial class opportunity, allowing families to experience the gym before committing to enrollment.

The gym maintains a strong referral community among Lander families, with an active parent community and coaches who emphasize transparent communication between the gym and families about each gymnast’s development and progress.

PROGRAMS

Recreational Classes

Rising Stars offers recreational gymnastics classes at multiple levels for school-age girls. Classes progress from introductory fundamentals through advanced recreational skills on beam, bars, vault, and floor. Students are placed based on skill level following a trial class assessment.

Competitive Team (Xcel)

The Rising Stars competitive team competes in USAG Xcel levels. Athletes demonstrating proficiency are invited to join the team following an instructor assessment. Team members commit to regular practice schedules and multiple competitions per season.

Private Lessons

Private 30-minute lessons are available for students seeking accelerated skill development or individual coaching attention. Contact the gym for availability and scheduling.
