Wyoming School of Gymnastics Laramie

OVERVIEW

Wyoming School of Gymnastics Laramie (WSGL) is a community gymnastics program serving the Laramie area. The school trains gymnasts at all levels, from preschool beginners through competitive team athletes, with a focus on providing a safe, friendly, and encouraging learning environment. WSGL is a member of USA Gymnastics and participates in state competitive meets each season.

Located at 803 Skyline Road, the school has been a resource for Albany County families seeking quality gymnastics instruction. The program emphasizes skill development alongside the character-building qualities that gymnastics uniquely provides, including discipline, confidence, and a lifelong appreciation for physical fitness.

THE GYM

WSGL’s facility is equipped for both recreational and competitive gymnastics training, with apparatus for all events. The coaching staff works with each student at their individual level, providing structured progressions from basic fundamentals through advanced optional skills. The gym’s small-town setting in Laramie allows for close-knit community relationships between coaches, athletes, and families.

WSGL serves as the primary competitive gymnastics club representing the Laramie area at Wyoming state meets. Gymnasts train alongside University of Wyoming students and families, contributing to a diverse and active athletic community in the city.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Beginning Gymnastics

Classes for the youngest students introduce basic body shapes, rolls, balances, and equipment exploration. Sessions are designed to build confidence and physical literacy in a fun, age-appropriate environment.

Recreational Gymnastics

Classes at multiple levels for school-age gymnasts develop skills on all four events including bars, beam, vault, and floor. Students are placed based on skill and age and advance at their own pace.

Boys Gymnastics

WSGL offers boys-specific gymnastics classes and training on men’s events. The program develops strength, coordination, and gymnastics skills for male athletes of all ages.

Competitive Team

Athletes who demonstrate skill and commitment may be invited to join the WSGL competitive team. The team competes in USAG-sanctioned meets throughout Wyoming and the region each season.
