Profile
OVERVIEW
All Olympia Gymnastics Center (AOGC) in Calabasas is one of the most decorated gymnastics programs in the history of the sport — a non-profit gymnastics center that has produced more Olympians, World Champions, and National Team members than virtually any other single gym in the United States. Founded in 2000 and located at 5034 North Parkway Calabasas, AOGC is owned and led by head coaches Galina Marinova — a 1980 Olympian — and Artur Akopyan — 1983 World Vault Champion — who brought their elite competitive pedigrees to the Calabasas community with a mission to help children thrive mentally and physically through the sport of gymnastics. The gym’s alumni roster includes 2012 Olympic Champion McKayla Maroney, 2010 World Team member Mattie Larson, Stanford gymnast Samantha Shapiro, and numerous other national team members and NCAA scholarship athletes. In 2025, AOGC hosted the SoCal Xcel State Championships.
AOGC is a SoCal member club and USA Gymnastics member. The gym operates as a boutique non-profit, hand-selecting athletes and maintaining a focused, family-centered environment where every child is treated as a part of the AOGC family. Despite its extraordinary elite pedigree, the gym’s stated mission has always been recreational and developmental at its core — the goal is to help every child grow, not just produce champions.
THE GYM
The North Parkway Calabasas facility is a focused, well-equipped gymnastics training center that serves as the training home for AOGC’s recreational and competitive programs. The boutique scale of the operation means that athletes receive a level of individual attention that is rare at any gym, let alone one with an Olympic and World Championship coaching staff. Birthday parties, summer camps, spring camps, and winter camps round out the community programming throughout the year.
PROGRAMS
Recreational Gymnastics (Koalas, Cubs, Pandas, Grizzlies)
AOGC’s recreational program is organized by developmental levels — Koalas, Cubs, Pandas, and Grizzlies — providing a fun, structured gymnastics curriculum for children from preschool through the intermediate years. Advanced tumbling classes provide a dedicated floor skills track for students interested in developing their tumbling abilities beyond the standard recreational program.
Xcel and Optional Competitive Program
AOGC’s competitive program operates at the Xcel and optional (Level 7 and above) levels, reflecting the gym’s focus on developing advanced gymnasts under the direct guidance of Galina Marinova and Artur Akopyan. Prospective team athletes should contact the front office to inquire about placement and availability.
