OVERVIEW

West Valley Gymnastics School (WVGS) is one of the South Bay’s most storied and accomplished gymnastics programs, operating from its 18,000-square-foot facility at 1190 Dell Avenue in Campbell. With Olympic champions and national team members in its alumni ranks — including connections to the 1996 Atlanta and 2000 Sydney Olympics — WVGS has spent decades building a reputation as a premier competitive gymnastics destination for the South Bay. The school fields Junior Olympic teams at Levels 2 through 10 and Xcel teams at all levels, competing in the NorCal circuit as an active USA Gymnastics member club.

WVGS serves children and teenagers with preschool through advanced competitive programs alongside recreational classes, summer camps, open gym, birthday parties, and a Parents Night Out program. The school’s mission is to push young athletes toward greatness in a safe and fun environment, with coaching grounded in the USA Gymnastics Safe Sport standards.

THE GYM

The 18,000-square-foot Dell Avenue facility includes separate team and recreational gymnasium spaces, four trampolines, more than 22 balance beams, four bar sets, and a large foam pit. The separated gym areas allow team training and recreational classes to run concurrently without interference, providing a higher-quality experience for both competitive and recreational students. WVGS has produced 25 or more college scholarship gymnasts competing at over a dozen universities across the country, and the school takes pride in its long legacy of developing well-rounded athletes.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Recreational Classes

Classes begin in the preschool years and progress through multiple skill-based levels for girls up through high school age. Recreational classes are designed to build gymnastics fundamentals and physical fitness in a supportive group setting, with students advancing at their own pace through a structured curriculum.

Competitive Team and Xcel

WVGS fields Junior Olympic competitive teams at Levels 2 through 10, including a full optional program at Levels 6 through 10. The Xcel program offers Bronze through Platinum tracks as a parallel competitive pathway. Developmental and Pre-Team programs provide invitation-only pathways for athletes showing team-track potential. WVGS alumni have competed at the Olympic and national team levels, and 25-plus athletes have gone on to compete in NCAA gymnastics.

Friday: 9:00 AM – 7:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 2:00 PM
