GymStars Gymnastics - Modesto

OVERVIEW

GymStars Gymnastics in Modesto has been the Central Valley’s premier multi-sport facility for children since its founding, operating from a large air-conditioned facility at 5170 Pentecost Drive in north Modesto. Operated by Robert Waroff under the Double O Sports umbrella — the same organization behind GymStars Stockton — the Modesto location offers gymnastics instruction for children ages 9 months through 18 years alongside karate, dance, cheer, SuperHero Training, a special needs program called StarBound, birthday parties, day camps, Kids’ Play Night, and more. GymStars describes itself as the largest multi-sport facility in Stanislaus County, with state-of-the-art equipment and a full event calendar throughout the year.

GymStars Modesto is a NorCal member club and USA Gymnastics member, competing in the regional circuit with a competitive gymnastics team and elite cheer squad. The gym’s Zone 8 affiliation makes it one of the primary competitive gymnastics destinations in the Modesto-Stanislaus County area.

THE GYM

The Pentecost Drive facility is a large, well-equipped multi-sport center with gymnastics apparatus for all levels, a tumble track, trampoline equipment, and dedicated space for cheer, karate, and dance programming. The gym runs Kids’ Play Night twice a month and maintains a full calendar of themed day camps, birthday parties, and special events throughout the year. At least one CPR and First Aid certified staff member is always present when children are in the facility.

PROGRAMS

StarBurst and Preschool Gymnastics

StarBurst gymnastics classes serve children from walking age through age five, providing developmentally appropriate gymnastics in a colorful, fun preschool zone. The program builds motor skills, social development, and a love of movement that feeds into the Rising Stars recreational program for school-age students.

Recreational and Competitive Gymnastics, Cheer, Karate, and Dance

GymStars’ Rising Stars recreational program serves school-age girls and boys through multiple levels. Tumbling and trampoline classes, competitive gymnastics, GymStars Elite Cheer, recreational cheer, karate, and tap/ballet/hip-hop dance make the gym one of the most comprehensive youth activity centers in Stanislaus County. StarBound classes serve students with special needs.
