Luna Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Luna Gymnastics is a Lamorinda community treasure with roots stretching back to 1981, when Wayne Clark opened Lamoreem Gymnastics in Moraga. When Lisa took over ownership and reopened the program as Luna Gymnastics in 2009, she preserved Lamoreem’s traditions and legacy, including bringing Wayne along as part of the coaching staff. Today Wayne is in his second generation of Moraga gymnasts, and the gym continues to be led by owner and head coach Lisa, who has been coaching for over 30 years and also brings backgrounds in dance, music, and sports medicine to her work.

Located at 594 Moraga Road, Luna serves preschool through competitive gymnasts with a philosophy that every gymnast is a star. The gym is known for its small class sizes, enthusiastic and experienced instructors, and a warm community atmosphere that has made it a beloved institution in the Lamorinda area for over four decades.

THE GYM

The 594 Moraga Road facility provides gymnastics instruction for preschool through competitive athletes. Luna is a NorCal member club that competes in the regional circuit with a competitive team program. Classes are well-organized and the gym is consistently praised for its attentive coaching and the personal relationships coaches build with each student.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Recreational Classes

Preschool gymnastics classes introduce young children to the sport in an age-appropriate format, with class offerings progressing through recreational levels for school-age athletes. Classes emphasize foundational skills, flexibility, and confidence building in a supportive group environment.

Competitive Team

Luna’s competitive team competes in NorCal-sanctioned events throughout the regional season. The gym offers special events and camps as part of its year-round programming, with a special emphasis on creating new and exciting experiences for gymnasts of all levels.
