Bayshore Elite Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Bayshore Elite Gymnastics opened its doors in July 2010 in Redwood City under the leadership of founder and head coach Erica Meitz, who envisioned a gymnastics training environment built on four core values: fun, focus, flexibility, and family. After growing to a second location within three years, Bayshore consolidated both programs into an expanded 15,000-square-foot facility at 2694 Middlefield Road in 2017. Voted Best of the Best by Bay Area Parent magazine for multiple consecutive years, Bayshore serves as one of the peninsula’s most recognized gymnastics destinations for both recreational and competitive athletes.

Bayshore offers recreational and competitive gymnastics for girls and boys, cheer, open gym, birthday parties, field trips, and seasonal camps. The gym is a USA Gymnastics member club competing in the NorCal circuit, with competitive team placements made by coach recommendation or evaluation only.

THE GYM

The 15,000-square-foot Middlefield Road facility is located in the Redwood Junction Industrial Park, mid-Peninsula between San Francisco and San Jose. The facility includes all standard gymnastics apparatus for women’s and men’s events, a full pro shop, and space for birthday party and camp programming. Erica Meitz, a Bay Area coach of nearly 30 years, continues to lead the program as founder and head coach. The gym serves families from Redwood City, Menlo Park, Palo Alto, Foster City, and throughout San Mateo County.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Recreational Classes

Classes are available for children starting at age three, with preschool-level gymnastics progressing through beginner, intermediate, and advanced recreational levels. Separate boys and girls class tracks are offered, and adult gymnastics classes bring the program full circle for adult athletes and parents interested in participating themselves.

Competitive Team

Bayshore fields competitive teams for both girls and boys beginning at age five, following USAG guidelines for all team programs. Team placements are by coach recommendation or evaluation, and athletes from the recreational program are encouraged to ask about team programs when ready.

Cheer and Open Gym

Cheer classes and open gym sessions complement the gymnastics curriculum, and the gym’s birthday party packages and field trip programs are popular community offerings throughout the year.

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
