San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour - Point Loma

OVERVIEW

San Diego Gymnastics & Parkour has been one of San Diego’s most recognized community gymnastics and parkour organizations since its founding in 2008, now operating from six locations across San Diego County. The Point Loma location at 3619 Midway Drive serves the Midway District, Ocean Beach, Point Loma, Mission Hills, and Bay Park communities with recreational gymnastics, parkour and ninja classes, Kids’ Night Out events, birthday parties, and seasonal camps for children from walking age through 17 years. SDG is the only gym in San Diego County to employ American Parkour Certified Instructors alongside USAG-certified gymnastics coaches, making it the definitive destination for parkour instruction in the region.

All SDG coaches are USAG certified, CPR and First Aid certified, SafeSport credentialed, and background checked. The gym runs an invite-only competitive gymnastics team program across its multi-location network and fields adaptive gymnastics classes for students with special needs — smaller class sizes, reduced transitions, and calmer environments designed for inclusivity.

THE GYM

The Midway Drive facility is located in the Vons Shopping Center in the Midway District just west of I-5, serving the coastal Point Loma and Ocean Beach communities conveniently. The gym features comfortable parent seating, WiFi, and air conditioning alongside its gymnastics and parkour training equipment. SDG is expanding with a new Poway location through its Founders Club program, reflecting the strong demand for its community-driven model across San Diego County.

PROGRAMS

Gymnastics and Preschool Classes

Classes are available from walking age through 17 years, covering preschool gymnastics, recreational gymnastics, and an invite-only competitive team program. Adaptive gymnastics classes serve students with special needs in smaller, calmer class environments. All SDG gymnastics classes follow a structured curriculum with USAG-certified coaches.

Parkour and Ninja

Parkour and Ninja classes range from introductory ninja courses for young children to advanced parkour training for experienced athletes. American Parkour Certified Instructors lead all parkour classes, and seasonal Parkour Camps and a Parkour Team program are offered at all locations.
