Profile
OVERVIEW
California Sports Center (CSC) has been providing gymnastics, dance, and ninja instruction throughout Santa Clara County since 1987. The Race Street location at 336 Race Street in San Jose serves the central San Jose and Willow Glen communities with recreational gymnastics, ninja classes, dance, and seasonal camps for children of all ages. CSC’s mission is to provide the opportunity to become the best you can be — teaching gymnastics and ninja in fun, progressive, and safe learning environments that lead to happier, healthier kids and adults.
CSC operates five locations across San Jose, Sunnyvale, and Morgan Hill, and is one of the most established multi-site gymnastics organizations in the South Bay. The Race Street location is a USA Gymnastics member facility competing in the NorCal circuit and offers the same high-quality instruction found across all CSC campuses.
THE GYM
The Race Street facility provides gymnastics apparatus and training space for recreational and competitive programs in the heart of San Jose. CSC’s compulsory teams regularly qualify athletes to NorCal State Championships. The gym offers birthday party packages and seasonal camp programs in addition to its regular class schedule. All CSC coaches are trained in the CSC methodology — a progressive, safety-centered curriculum developed and refined over nearly four decades of operation.
PROGRAMS
Parent-Tot and Preschool Classes
CSC’s youngest classes begin with parent-participation gymnastics for toddlers and progress through preschool-level gymnastics for children up to five years old. Programs emphasize balance, strength, coordination, and listening skills in a safe and playful setting.
Recreational Gymnastics and Ninja
Girls’ and boys’ gymnastics classes are available at multiple levels for school-age students. Ninja classes provide an exciting movement alternative, combining obstacle courses, agility training, and gymnastics-inspired challenges in a high-energy format.
Competitive Team
CSC’s competitive teams compete in NorCal-sanctioned events at compulsory and Xcel levels, with athletes regularly qualifying to state and regional championships. The competitive program is organized across CSC’s multiple locations, with athletes from each campus contributing to the overall CSC competitive program.
