OVERVIEW

Central Coast Gymnastics Sports Center (CCG) has been the premier gymnastics destination on California’s Central Coast since its founding in 1991. Located at 21 Zaca Lane in San Luis Obispo — conveniently just off US-101 — CCG has grown into a 16,000-square-foot multi-sport children’s center offering gymnastics, tumbling and trampoline, acrobatic gymnastics, cheer, parkour, dance, martial arts, and more. Over three decades, CCG’s passionate owner and experienced staff have refined a curriculum built around the belief that every child deserves a fun, safe, and inspiring environment in which to develop a strong athletic foundation. In August 2016, CCG expanded by adding a second gym across the parking lot, doubling training capacity and program variety.

CCG is a NorCal member club and USA Gymnastics member since 1991, a USASF Cheerleading Accredited member, and a San Luis Obispo Chamber of Commerce member. Its acrobatic gymnastics program has produced national champions, and its trampoline and tumbling program recently earned the distinction of having an athlete approved as a Youth Elite by the USA Gymnastics T&T Committee.

THE GYM

The two-building Zaca Lane complex features two in-ground training pits, a 30-foot tumble trampoline, an in-ground competition trampoline, overhead rigs and silks, all Olympic events for men’s and women’s gymnastics, a complete Jungle Gym preschool area, a 1,000-square-foot dance room, and an elevated mezzanine observation area with wireless internet and a child’s play area. The on-site Gym Bag retail shop carries gymnastics supplies, apparel, snacks, and sports drinks. All staff are background checked, CPR and First Aid certified, and all high-level instructors, managers, and the owner are annually certified under the USA Gymnastics Professional Instructor Certification Program.

PROGRAMS

Preschool Jungle Gymnastics

CCG’s preschool program begins with Parent and Toddler classes from eight months and progresses through the Jungle Gymnastics curriculum designed for children up to five years old. The program emphasizes motor development, social skills, and early athletic exploration in a bright, child-friendly preschool zone within the gym.

Recreational Gymnastics, T&T, Acrobatics, and Cheer

Recreational gymnastics classes serve boys and girls from preschool through high school at progressive skill levels. Trampoline and Tumbling classes cover all three T&T events — trampoline, tumbling, and double mini — and CCG’s acrobatic gymnastics program has produced national champions. All-star cheer rounds out one of the most complete youth sports menus on the Central Coast.

Competitive Teams, Camps, and Events

CCG’s competitive programs span gymnastics, T&T, and cheer, with athletes competing at state, regional, and national levels. Seasonal Super Camps, Kids’ Night Out parties, field trips, and specialized training clinics are offered throughout the year, and birthday party packages accommodate children ages two and up.
