OVERVIEW

GymWorld Marin is a gymnastics and parkour facility in San Rafael serving children from pre-K through age 15. Founded in 1999 by Mexican National competitor Lourdes Esquivel and Ukrainian National Team member Victoria Yelensky, the gym has spent over two decades helping young athletes build strength, confidence, and skills in a fun and supportive environment. GymWorld is a well-loved spot in Marin County, known for its welcoming atmosphere, passionate coaches, and programs designed for every level.

The gym offers gymnastics from beginner recreational classes all the way through competitive team training, along with parkour, tumbling, open gym, birthday parties, and seasonal camps. The facility is recognized for small class sizes and coaches who genuinely love working with children.

THE GYM

GymWorld is located at 3040 Kerner Boulevard in San Rafael, a spacious and well-equipped facility that has been the gym’s home since 2010. The space includes trampolines, a foam pit, a climbing wall, a tire swing, a trapeze, and full gymnastics apparatus. USAG-certified coaches lead the competitive program, and classes are available seven days a week with extensive scheduling options for families.

GymWorld’s co-founders bring national-level gymnastics experience from two countries, and that background is reflected in the quality of instruction at all levels. The gym has touched the lives of thousands of children across Marin County since opening, with many former students going on to succeed in athletics, academics, and other pursuits.

PROGRAMS

Recreational Classes

Classes are available for all ages starting with parent-and-me programs for toddlers and pre-K gymnastics for ages 3 to 5. Recreational gymnastics classes for ages 6 to 9 introduce foundational skills on all events. Older athletes can continue in skill-building classes through the teen years. Classes emphasize coordination, strength, flexibility, and confidence in a creative and encouraging setting.

Competitive Team and Team-in-Training

GymWorld’s competitive program follows USA Gymnastics standards at Levels 2 through 6 and Xcel. Athletes interested in competition can progress through Team-in-Training before joining the full competitive team. The program provides a structured pathway for gymnasts who want to test their skills at regional and state competitions.

Parkour

GymWorld’s Urban Ninjas Parkour class is designed for kids ready to climb, vault, and leap their way through dynamic obstacle courses. This program builds athleticism and spatial awareness while channeling energy into creative movement challenges.

Monday through Friday: 9:30 AM – 8:00 PM
Saturday: 8:45 AM – 6:00 PM
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
