Profile
OVERVIEW
Santa Rosa Gymnastics Center has been a pillar of gymnastics in Northern California since 1975, making it the longest-running gymnastics center north of the Golden Gate Bridge. Founded by Richard Schroder, the gym has operated for 50 years and currently serves over 500 students per week under the ownership of Darcie Fellows, who began her own gymnastics journey at SRGC at age three. The center is a member of NorCal Gymnastics, the National Gymnastics Association, and USA Gymnastics.
Located in Santa Rosa on Bluebell Drive, SRGC offers more than 12,000 square feet of gymnastics space including three types of trampolines, a tumble track, two floors, a 40-foot bouldering wall, a rock climbing wall, and all standard Olympic apparatus. The gym has deep roots in the community, having served as a gathering point during the 2017 Tubbs Fire recovery, when it opened its doors as a distribution center for displaced families.
THE GYM
The facility at 2210 Bluebell Drive is one of the largest and most well-equipped gymnastics centers in the North Bay. The 12,000-square-foot space includes a full range of apparatus for both recreational and competitive training. All instructors are SRGC-certified, CPR and First Aid certified, and background-checked. Team coaches are USA Gymnastics certified. The gym’s competitive girls’ teams compete at Levels 3 through 10, and Xcel teams at Bronze through Gold are active throughout the NorCal competitive season.
SRGC also operates Santa Rosa Elite Cheer as part of its programming umbrella, with all-star cheer teams competing at regional and national levels alongside the gymnastics program. The center has a strong history of producing athletes who earn college gymnastics scholarships and go on to excel in the sport at higher levels.
