Gymstars Gymnastics - Stockton

OVERVIEW

Stockton GymStars Gymnastics has been one of the San Joaquin Valley’s premier multi-sport facilities since opening on July 19, 1999 at its Hammer Lane location in north Stockton. With a motto of “Where kids reach for the stars,” GymStars is dedicated to developing healthy, happy, confident, and responsible children through sports instruction, educational opportunities, and entertainment programs. The Stockton facility is one of two GymStars locations, with a sister gym in Modesto that opened in 2004.

GymStars has grown significantly over the years, partnering with the City of Stockton’s recreational gymnastics program since 2010 to offer the GymStars program at the Stribley Recreation Center on East Sonar Street. This community partnership reflects GymStars’ commitment to expanding access to quality gymnastics instruction throughout Stockton and San Joaquin County.

THE GYM

The flagship location at 1740 West Hammer Lane is a large, well-equipped gymnastics and multi-sport facility in north Stockton. In addition to gymnastics, the facility offers karate, superhero training classes, and a robust birthday party and camp program. The gym is a NorCal member club and competes in the regional gymnastics circuit. The air-conditioned facility is open seven days a week, including Sunday morning sessions, making it one of the most accessible gymnastics programs in the San Joaquin Valley.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Kinder Classes

Gymnastics classes for the youngest participants introduce children to the gym environment through age-appropriate activities and motor skill development. Preschool and kindergarten-level classes progress systematically toward recreational levels as children develop confidence and foundational gymnastics skills.

Recreational Gymnastics, Tumbling, and Ninja

Recreational classes are available for multiple age groups and skill levels. Tumbling, cheer, and ninja-style superhero training classes add breadth to the program, making GymStars a versatile athletic training destination for the whole family.

Competitive Team and Camps

GymStars fields a competitive team in the NorCal circuit, with athletes competing throughout the regional season. Day camps run during school breaks, with children spending full days in the air-conditioned facility in fitness and team-oriented games and activities.

Saturday: Closed
Sunday: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
