Gold Star Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Gold Star Gymnastics has been a cornerstone of the Sunnyvale gymnastics community since its founding in 1996, now operating from its 19,200-square-foot air-conditioned facility at 727 Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road. Owner Pam, who began gymnastics herself at age six and has been coaching since 1979, has built Gold Star into one of the South Bay’s most comprehensive and family-friendly gymnastics programs. The gym prides itself on being welcoming to all families with no registration fees, month-to-month class commitments, and a diverse range of programs that include preschool gymnastics, artistic gymnastics, ninja training, rhythmic gymnastics, cheer, and adult gymnastics.

Gold Star was restructured under current ownership in 2001 and has continued to grow in breadth and reputation since then. Located centrally on El Camino Real in downtown Sunnyvale with a large parking lot, Gold Star is convenient for families throughout the South Bay and is widely praised for its colorful, clean facility and the depth of its experienced coaching staff.

THE GYM

The 19,200-square-foot facility on Sunnyvale-Saratoga Road is among the largest gymnastics training centers in Santa Clara County. Equipment includes bars, beams, rings, trampolines, vault, spring floors, a foam pit, and hundreds of mats. The gym runs classes seven days a week, with Sunday morning sessions available — a rarity among South Bay gymnastics programs. Gold Star is a NorCal member club competing in the regional circuit with both Junior Olympic and Xcel teams.

PROGRAMS

MiniStar and Preschool Classes

MiniStar classes serve toddlers and preschool children with age-appropriate gymnastics introduction focused on motor development, coordination, and building confidence in a group setting. These classes feed naturally into the recreational gymnastics pathway for school-age students.

Recreational Gymnastics, Ninja, and Rhythmic

Girls’ and boys’ recreational classes are offered at multiple levels, covering all major gymnastics events. Ninja training classes and rhythmic gymnastics add breadth to the program, making Gold Star a comprehensive movement and athletics center for South Bay families.

Competitive Team, Cheer, and Adult Classes

The competitive gymnastics program competes in NorCal-sanctioned events at Junior Olympic and Xcel levels. All-star cheer and adult gymnastics classes round out one of the most complete gymnastics program offerings in the South Bay.

Saturday: 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM
