Coastal Gymnastics Academy

OVERVIEW

Coastal Gymnastics Academy has been a fixture of San Diego’s North County gymnastics community for over a decade, operating from its facility at 1281 Liberty Way in Vista. Founded with a mission to help children grow through fun, skill-building programs, Coastal serves students from 18 months through age 17 with preschool gymnastics, recreational classes for ages 6 through 16, competitive team training, birthday parties, and seasonal camps. The gym is consistently praised by North County families for its patient, attentive coaching staff and individualized approach — coaches stay closely focused on each gymnast’s specific skill needs throughout every class.

Coastal Gymnastics Academy is a SoCal member club and USA Gymnastics member, fielding competitive teams that compete in the SoCal Junior Olympic and Xcel programs throughout the regional season. The Vista location is easily accessible from I-78 and serves families across Vista, Oceanside, Carlsbad, San Marcos, and the surrounding North County communities.

THE GYM

The Liberty Way facility is a fully equipped gymnastics center designed to serve the full range of programs from toddler through competitive team. The gym features standard women’s artistic apparatus alongside dedicated preschool programming space. All coaches are USA Gymnastics certified instructors, ensuring consistent, safe, and professional instruction for every student regardless of age or level. The gym offers birthday party packages and seasonal camp programming throughout the year.

PROGRAMS

Preschool Gymnastics

Classes for children ages 18 months through five years introduce the youngest students to gymnastics through developmentally appropriate activities that build motor skills, coordination, and self-confidence in a nurturing group setting.

Recreational Classes

School-age recreational classes are available for boys and girls ages 6 through 16 at multiple skill levels. Each 90-minute class covers all four Olympic events for women’s gymnastics, with coaches providing close individual attention to ensure every student progresses at her own pace. Birthday parties and seasonal camps are offered as additional programming throughout the year.

Competitive Team

The competitive team program competes in SoCal-sanctioned events at compulsory, optional, and Xcel levels. Team placement is by coach invitation after evaluating a student’s strength, flexibility, skills, and coachability during recreational classes.

Monday through Thursday: 10:00 AM – 8:00 PM
Friday: 3:00 PM – 8:30 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Sunday: Closed
