Rainbow Gymnastics Academy

OVERVIEW

Rainbow Gymnastics Academy (RGA) has been providing gymnastics instruction to Oahu families since 1985, making it one of the longest-running gymnastics programs on the island. Located at 98-023 Hekaha Street in Aiea — on the Pearl Harbor side of central Oahu — RGA serves students ages 20 months and above with novice through advanced gymnastics instruction, recreational programs, competitive team training, and camps. The gym’s four decades of continuous operation reflect a deep commitment to the Aiea and greater Pearl Harbor-area community, and RGA’s annual Poinsettia fundraiser is a beloved seasonal tradition that speaks to the tight-knit community the gym has built over its nearly 40-year history.

Rainbow Gymnastics Academy is a USAG member club and competes at the state and regional levels. The gym’s recreational program serves the full range of ages and abilities, with class structures designed to progress students naturally from their first gymnastics experience through the advanced levels that feed the competitive team.

THE GYM

The Hekaha Street facility in Aiea provides a well-maintained gymnastics training environment serving the Aiea, Pearl City, and surrounding communities of central Oahu. RGA’s 40-year community presence has made it a trusted institution for multiple generations of Oahu families, and the gym’s coaching staff brings a combination of experience and genuine care for each student that is reflected in consistently positive family feedback over its long history.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Recreational Gymnastics

Classes begin at 20 months and progress through recreational levels from novice to advanced, covering all major gymnastics events with an emphasis on progressive skill development, safety, and fun. Students advance through skill-based assessments rather than fixed age brackets, ensuring appropriate challenge and genuine progress at every level.

Competitive Team

RGA’s competitive team competes in USAG-sanctioned events at the Hawaii state level and in Region 2 competitions, drawing on the gym’s 40-year coaching tradition to develop athletes who are prepared for the demands of competitive gymnastics at every level from compulsory through optional.

Camps

RGA offers gymnastics camps during school breaks throughout the year, providing structured gymnastics programming for students who want to continue developing their skills outside of the regular class schedule.
