Pono Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Pono Gymnastics is a recreational and competitive gymnastics facility located in Kaneohe on the windward side of Oahu, offering USAG-based gymnastics programs for children and teens. Named with the Hawaiian word for righteousness, balance, and doing what is right, Pono Gymnastics reflects a coaching philosophy rooted in respect, integrity, and the belief that gymnastics should build not just athletic skill but character. The gym serves the Kaneohe, Kailua, and windward Oahu community with a recreational class program spanning preschool through teen years and a competitive team that competes at the Hawaii state level and in Region 2.

Pono Gymnastics is a USAG member club. The gym’s focus on doing things the right way — proper progressions, quality technique, positive coaching, and genuine care for each student — has earned it a devoted following among windward Oahu families seeking a gymnastics program that takes the sport seriously without losing sight of what makes gymnastics wonderful for young athletes at every level.

THE GYM

The Kaneohe facility provides a focused gymnastics training environment for the windward community. With both Kokokahi and Oahu Gymnastics and Ninja nearby, the gym offers windward families another excellent option whose culture and coaching approach may be the right fit for their child’s needs and personality.

PROGRAMS

Recreational Gymnastics

Classes are available for boys and girls from preschool through the teen years at progressive skill levels, following the USAG Junior Olympic curriculum in a structured, skill-based format that ensures clear progression and genuine achievement for every student in the program.

Competitive Team

The Pono competitive team competes in USAG-sanctioned events at the Hawaii state level and in Region 2, with a coaching approach that prepares athletes for competition with both technical rigor and the mental resilience that defines the pono spirit the gym is named for.
