OVERVIEW

Billings Gymnastics School (BGS) at 2449 Enterprise Avenue is Billings’ longest-running gymnastics program, celebrating over 40 years of gymnastics instruction in Montana’s largest city. BGS’s foundational philosophy is that nothing is more important than a child’s self-confidence — a belief that shapes every class, from the earliest parent-and-tot sessions for children 18 months and up through the advanced competitive team. Students come to BGS for recreation, fun, fitness, self-confidence, coordination, social development, competitive training, and an outlet for their energy, and they leave with physical, mental, and social skills that serve them throughout their lives. The gym’s consistent theme — “Build a child, build the future” — reflects a coaching culture that measures success not by medal counts, but by the confident, well-rounded young people who come through its doors every week.

Billings Gymnastics School is a USAG Montana member club. In addition to year-round gymnastics programming, BGS offers summer swimming instruction for children ages 18 months through 10 years, making it one of the most comprehensive youth activity programs in Billings. Summer Fun Day Camps and birthday parties round out the community programming calendar for Billings families.

PROGRAMS

Starting Young — Preschool Gymnastics

The Starting Young program for children 18 months through kindergarten age groups students by age rather than ability, introducing gymnastics fundamentals through movement, exploration, and imagination. Classes change lesson plans every two weeks to keep children engaged and challenged, developing confidence, perseverance, discipline, and social skills alongside foundational gymnastics movement patterns. Children 18–36 months attend with an adult; older preschoolers join small groups independently.

Recreational Gymnastics

Classes for school-age girls and boys advance through progressive skill levels following USAG progressions, covering all major gymnastics events in an encouraging, safety-first environment. The gym’s consistent positive coaching approach ensures that every student’s self-confidence grows alongside their gymnastics skill throughout the recreational program.

Ninja and Competitive Team

BGS offers ninja classes for children seeking an obstacle-course-based athletics experience alongside the standard gymnastics curriculum, and a competitive team program competing in USAG Montana-sanctioned events at the state and regional levels.

Summer Swimming

Summer swimming instruction for children 18 months through 10 years runs seasonally, making BGS a year-round multi-sport resource for Billings families across all age groups.
