Western Stars Gymnastics

OVERVIEW

Western Stars Gymnastics is located at 3401 1st Avenue West in Williston, the primary gymnastics program serving the far northwest corner of North Dakota — a city of around 27,000 at the heart of the Bakken oil formation that transformed North Dakota into one of America’s leading energy producers over the past two decades. Williston’s boom-era growth brought large influxes of working families to a region that had historically been underserved in youth athletic programming, and Western Stars Gymnastics fills the role of primary gymnastics destination for Williams County and the surrounding communities of Tioga, Ray, Watford City, and the broader northwestern North Dakota oil patch. The gym is led by Emily Wingerter and operates with a focused weekday afternoon and early evening schedule that accommodates the working families of the Williston Basin energy community.

Western Stars holds USA Gymnastics membership and competes within the USAG upper Midwest region, providing Williston’s growing family population with a competitive gymnastics pathway in one of the most geographically isolated major markets in the state. The 1st Avenue West address gives families in the western Williston residential corridor convenient access to a gymnastics program without the long drive to Minot or Bismarck for club-level instruction. THE GYM

The Western Stars Gymnastics facility at 3401 1st Avenue West is equipped for recreational and competitive gymnastics for children across all age groups and skill levels. The gym operates Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 3:30 PM to 6:45 PM and Wednesday from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM — a weekday afternoon schedule tailored to the after-school enrollment patterns of Williston’s family community.

Recreational Gymnastics

Western Stars Gymnastics offers recreational gymnastics classes for children from beginner through advanced levels, serving the Williston community and the surrounding northwest North Dakota region with quality gymnastics instruction in the only dedicated gymnastics facility serving Williams County.

Competitive Team

The competitive team competes within the USAG upper Midwest region, giving Williston and northwest North Dakota athletes a competitive gymnastics pathway without the multi-hour drive to Minot or Bismarck for access to team-level programming.
