OVERVIEW

Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy (COGA) is Bend’s longest-established gymnastics program, serving the central Oregon community for more than 25 years with recreational and competitive gymnastics, tumbling, preschool gymnastics, cheer, boys programs, and open play for children of all ages. Located at 63060 Layton Avenue in Bend, COGA has grown alongside Bend’s rapid community expansion to become one of the most established and trusted youth athletics destinations in Deschutes County.

COGA’s coaches work with positivity so kids can push their limits with confidence a philosophy reflected in the enthusiastic reviews from families throughout the central Oregon community who have made COGA their gymnastics home over multiple generations. THE GYM

Central Oregon Gymnastics Academy operates at 63060 Layton Avenue in Bend, Oregon, in a well-maintained and purpose-designed gymnastics facility that supports the full range of COGA’s programming from toddler open play through competitive Junior Olympic team training. The gym is part of Bailey’s Sports complex and is noted by families as exceptionally clean, bright, and welcoming one of the most consistently praised gymnastics facilities in the Pacific Northwest based on community reviews.

COGA is owned and operated by Sharman Knutz, who has guided the program through 25-plus years of growth in the Bend community. PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Preschool and Tots Gymnastics

COGA offers preschool gymnastics and tots programming for children from infant age through kindergarten, introducing foundational movement skills, coordination, and gymnastics basics in a joyful and age-appropriate environment. The program is designed to build a genuine love of movement and activity in young children at the very beginning of their gymnastics journey.

Recreational and Competitive Gymnastics Boys and Girls

COGA offers recreational gymnastics classes for boys and girls of all ages and skill levels, progressing through a structured curriculum toward competitive Junior Olympic team participation. The competitive team competes in the USAG Junior Olympic program, with COGA athletes competing at the state and regional levels throughout the Oregon gymnastics season.

Tumbling, Cheer, Ninja, Open Play, and Birthday Parties

COGA’s programming calendar extends well beyond traditional gymnastics classes to include tumbling, cheer, Playmania open play sessions, birthday parties, summer camps, school year camps, and Parents Night Out. This breadth of programming makes COGA one of the most complete youth activity destinations in central Oregon for active families throughout the Bend and Deschutes County area.
