Gymnastics Northwest

OVERVIEW

Gymnastics Northwest (GNW) is Eugene’s community-based gymnastics program operated through River Road Park and Recreation, providing Lane County families with recreational and competitive gymnastics instruction in a welcoming and accessible nonprofit-affiliated setting. A USAG member club, GNW serves the northwest Eugene and River Road corridor communities with gymnastics programming that has been part of the local parks and recreation system for many years.

Gymnastics Northwest’s connection to River Road Park and Recreation reflects a model of community-embedded gymnastics programming that makes the sport accessible to a broad range of families. The program provides recreational classes, competitive team participation, and gymnastics development for Lane County children in a setting that emphasizes community, accessibility, and the joy of the sport.

THE GYM

Gymnastics Northwest is located at 30043 Leghorn Road in Eugene, Oregon, with a mailing address at 1400 Lake Drive, Eugene, OR 97404. The facility provides northwest Eugene families with access to a community gymnastics training space that supports both recreational programming and competitive team development as a USAG member club.

The program is led by meet director Julia Eagen alongside coaches Tracy Waterbury and Jonathan Gunson, providing Lane County athletes with experienced and community-invested coaching in a park and recreation setting. GNW’s connection to River Road Park and Recreation makes it a distinctive and accessible gymnastics option for families throughout the northwest Eugene area.

Recreational Gymnastics

Gymnastics Northwest offers recreational gymnastics classes for children of various ages and skill levels through the River Road Park and Recreation program, providing foundational gymnastics instruction in a fun and community-centered class environment. Classes are available throughout the week with scheduling coordinated through River Road Park and Recreation.

Competitive Team

Gymnastics Northwest fields a competitive gymnastics team as a USAG member club, providing northwest Eugene athletes with the opportunity to develop and compete in sanctioned gymnastics meets throughout Oregon and the Pacific Northwest. The competitive program delivers quality team coaching in a community-parks setting that emphasizes accessible and meaningful athletics participation for Lane County families.
