OVERVIEW

The Gym-Nest is a gymnastics and cheerleading facility in Hillsboro, Oregon, founded in 1984 and serving Washington County families for more than 40 years with recreational and competitive gymnastics, All-Star cheer, and cheerleading instruction. Located at 1414 SE 18th Avenue in Hillsboro, The Gym-Nest’s mission is to inspire children of all ages and abilities to gain self-esteem and confidence while building strength, flexibility, agility, and character through gymnastics and cheer in a fun, safe, and professional environment.

With more than four decades in the Hillsboro community, The Gym-Nest has built a reputation as a trusted and beloved gymnastics destination where children are not just students but members of a family. The gym carries leotards and accessories for competitive gymnastics and maintains a coaching staff that stays current with the evolving techniques and progressions of both gymnastics and All-Star cheer.

The Gym-Nest operates in a 12,000 square foot gymnastics and cheer facility at 1414 SE 18th Avenue Suite 100 in Hillsboro, Oregon, providing Washington County families with a well-equipped and long-established gymnastics training environment. The facility features full gymnastics apparatus and dedicated cheer training areas, supporting both recreational class programming and competitive All-Star cheer squad participation.

The Gym-Nest coaching staff brings professional gymnastics and cheer expertise alongside genuine care for every student’s development. Pre-school open play sessions on Fridays provide a fun and supervised movement experience for young children, and the gym’s long community tenure makes it a natural first choice for Hillsboro and Beaverton-area families exploring youth gymnastics for the first time.

PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Preschool Open Play and Recreational Gymnastics

The Gym-Nest offers preschool open play for children ages 2 through 5 on Fridays from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM by reservation, alongside recreational gymnastics classes for children ages 3 through 18. Classes develop gymnastics technique, strength, flexibility, and confidence in a structured and encouraging format, with preschool and beginner levels providing accessible entry points for first-time gymnasts of all ages.

All-Star Cheer and Competitive Gymnastics

The Gym-Nest fields All-Star cheer squads at Mini and Youth levels, providing Washington County cheerleaders with competitive squad participation in a year-round program. Competitive gymnastics team participation is also available for athletes developing toward USAG-level competition. Leotards and gymnastics accessories are available for purchase at the facility.
