Strive Gymnastics Academy

OVERVIEW

Strive Gymnastics Academy is located at 47256 South Dakota Highway 46 in Beresford, a USA Gymnastics member program serving the southern Lincoln and Union County communities in southeast South Dakota — between Sioux Falls and Sioux City, Iowa along the I-29 corridor. Beresford is a small city of around 2,000 in southeastern South Dakota’s agricultural heartland, and Strive fills the role of local gymnastics resource for families in Beresford, Tea, Harrisburg, Canton, and the surrounding rural communities who want a local gymnastics option outside the larger Sioux Falls programs to the north. The program’s mission is threefold: to provide fun, recreational gymnastics in a positive and safe environment; to help children build friendships and learn sportsmanship; and to provide affordable training without sacrificing quality. Strive holds USA Gymnastics membership and offers recreational classes from the youngest ages through the Xcel competitive track for athletes ready to advance.

The Highway 46 address outside Beresford gives the gym a rural setting convenient to the small city’s residential communities while serving families throughout the farm country of southeastern South Dakota who want a community gymnastics option closer to home than the drive to Sioux Falls. Strive’s 45-minute classes for ages 3.5 to 4, 55-minute beginner classes for ages 5 and ages 6 to 8, and progressive developmental curriculum ensure athletes progress at their own pace through a clearly structured skills framework.

PROGRAMS

Preschool and Recreational Gymnastics

Strive offers structured gymnastics classes from age 3.5 through the teen years at multiple skill levels — with age-appropriate class lengths and a curriculum focused on coordination, body positions, vault, bars, beam, and floor progression in a fun and affordable community environment.

Xcel Competitive Team

The Xcel competitive program begins at Bronze level and progresses through Silver and Gold, with the primary focus on strength, flexibility, and reinforcing proper body positions for competitive gymnastics within the USAG Xcel structure.
