OVERVIEW

Black Hills Gymnastics has been a trusted community gymnastics program in Lacey, Washington since 1996. Located in the South Puget Sound region, Black Hills serves families throughout Thurston County with a mission to teach life skills through the sport of gymnastics. The gym is committed to excellence in athletics, character, and community, providing every athlete with a structured, encouraging, and professional training environment from their very first class.

Black Hills Gymnastics offers programming from preschool through competitive team, including a Ninja Zone program, tumbling and cheerleading classes, birthday parties, and seasonal camps. The gym is proud to be a place where hard work meets opportunity and where young athletes build the confidence to succeed both in and out of the gym.

THE GYM

Black Hills Gymnastics operates at 7961 29th Avenue NE in Lacey, Washington, providing a large and well-equipped gymnastics facility for South Sound families. The facility features professional-grade gymnastics equipment highlighted by bright banners and awards that showcase the achievements of current and past athletes, creating an atmosphere of motivation and community pride.

The coaching staff at Black Hills Gymnastics brings consistent care and technical expertise to every session. Coaches are known for their individualized attention, working with each child to support their development at their own pace while maintaining high standards of instruction. The gym’s environment is described by families as professional, organized, and welcoming from the moment you walk through the doors.

Black Hills Gymnastics offers an on-site preschool program, Tumble Tots Preschool, providing families with a combined early childhood education and gymnastics development option. PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Preschool Gymnastics

Black Hills offers a preschool gymnastics program tailored to introduce young children to the fundamentals of gymnastics through age-appropriate, engaging, and supportive classes. The program is designed to foster physical, social, and emotional development in a fun and safe environment. Tumble Tots Preschool, located on-site, provides a full early childhood education experience alongside gymnastics development.

Monday through Friday: 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM
Saturday: 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
Sunday: Closed

Instructional and Recreational Gymnastics

Black Hills offers boys and girls instructional gymnastics classes for children of all skill levels, introducing students to all gymnastics events including vault, bars, balance beam, and floor exercise, and for boys, pommel horse, high bar, and rings. As students progress, they develop basic routines and goal-setting skills alongside their gymnastics fundamentals.

Competitive Team

Black Hills Gymnastics offers a competitive gymnastics team program committed to fostering excellence, discipline, and a passion for gymnastics. The program combines rigorous training and expert coaching in a supportive environment to help gymnasts reach their highest potential and achieve their competitive goals.

Ninja Zone and Tumbling

Black Hills offers Ninja Zone, a dynamic high-energy program combining gymnastics, martial arts, obstacle training, and freestyle movement. Tumbling and cheerleading classes are also available, providing additional athletic outlets for children seeking structured movement programming beyond traditional gymnastics.
