Seattle Gymnastics Academy (Mill Creek)

OVERVIEW

Seattle Gymnastics Academy Mill Creek is SGA’s newest location, opening to serve families in Snohomish County with the same progressive, positive gymnastics instruction that has made SGA one of the Pacific Northwest’s most trusted gymnastics organizations over four decades of operation. Seattle Gymnastics Academy was founded in 1981 with 22 children in a basement warehouse behind a Kmart. Over the following four decades it grew into one of the Pacific Northwest’s most recognized gymnastics organizations, operating five locations across the greater Seattle area and developing more than 4,000 gymnasts annually. SGA is distinctive in its progressive, positive coaching philosophy, its use of flame-retardant-free foam across all facilities, and its operation of The Seattle Preschool at its Lake City and Columbia City locations, a licensed preschool program where children enjoy gymnastics and dance every day.

The Mill Creek location brings SGA north of Seattle for the first time, giving Snohomish County families convenient access to SGA’s proven curriculum, coaching culture, and full range of play events and community programming without traveling into the city.

THE GYM

SGA Mill Creek operates at 15017 Main Street Suite 106 in Mill Creek, Washington, offering a new and professionally equipped gymnastics facility featuring top-of-the-line apparatus, in-ground trampolines, foam pits, and Tumbl Trak surfaces. As with all SGA locations, all foam used in the facility is flame-retardant-free. Coaches at the Mill Creek location share the same training, certification standards, and coaching philosophy applied across all SGA gyms.

PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Preschool and Parent-Tot Gymnastics

SGA offers gymnastics classes beginning with Indoor Playground for children ages 0 through 5, parent-tot classes, and preschool gym classes for children through kindergarten age. Classes are designed to develop early motor skills, social confidence, and a love of movement in a safe and nurturing environment.

Recreational Gymnastics

SGA’s recreational program covers all ages, genders, and abilities through a progressive, coach-evaluated class structure. Classes focus on strength, skill, and character through guided gymnastics instruction in a safe and positive team environment. Continuous monthly enrollment means families can join at any time throughout the year.

Competitive Team

SGA offers competitive gymnastics pathways for athletes advancing from the recreational program, including structured competitive teams with a positive coaching culture that extends the gym’s recreational philosophy into a more challenging and goal-oriented athletic experience.

Play Events

SGA offers a range of drop-in and special play programs including an Indoor Playground, Parents’ Night Out, birthday parties, summer and holiday camps, Playdate Plus, Sensory Playground for children with diverse needs, and field trips, giving families a wide variety of ways to engage with the gym beyond regular classes.
