OVERVIEW

Sound Elite Athletics is Port Orchard’s dedicated gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline, and ninja facility, offering a welcoming and community-focused gymnastics experience for children of all ages and skill levels on the Kitsap Peninsula. Located on Mile Hill Drive in a converted South Sound Movie Theater, Sound Elite serves families throughout Port Orchard, South Kitsap, and the surrounding communities with a no-membership, accessible approach to youth athletics that reflects a genuine commitment to the broader community.

Sound Elite Athletics hosts South Kitsap Special Olympics cheer programming and maintains a little library at the gym stocked with books for community members regardless of whether their children participate in classes, reflecting the gym’s extraordinary commitment to being a true community resource rather than simply an athletics facility. The gym operates with no membership requirements, keeping gymnastics and activity programming open and accessible for all South Kitsap families.

THE GYM

Sound Elite Athletics operates at 4242 SE Mile Hill Drive in Port Orchard, Washington, in a spacious converted theater facility featuring a ninja obstacle course, Tumble Trak, trampoline, foam pit, and slides. The gym is bright, clean, and purpose-designed to serve both structured class programming and a wide variety of open gym and community events. Private open gyms for daycares and preschools are available at $8 per student with a minimum of 10 students, and private group classes for groups of 3 to 6 friends are offered in gymnastics, tumbling, trampoline, and preschool gymnastics formats.

Sound Elite is led by its coaching staff, including Coach Bekah and Coach Kristin who leads the popular homeschool open gym program. The gym maintains a booster club and has built partnerships with a wide range of local businesses, reflecting the strong community relationships it has cultivated throughout its time in Port Orchard. Leotards, competition scorebooks, and gym apparel are available for purchase at the facility.

PROGRAMS AT THE GYM

Gymnastics and Tumbling Classes

Sound Elite Athletics offers boys and girls gymnastics classes, tumbling, trampoline, and preschool gymnastics for children of all ages. Classes develop beam, vault, floor, trampoline, and tumbling skills in a safe and supportive environment. Private group classes are available for groups of 3 to 6 friends for a personalized class experience in any of the gym’s programming areas.

Competitive Gymnastics and Trampoline Teams

Sound Elite Athletics fields competitive gymnastics and trampoline teams for athletes ready to train at a higher level, providing structured competitive team coaching, team camaraderie, and meet opportunities at the local and regional level. The program focuses on skill mastery and sportsmanship alongside competitive achievement.

Ninja, Open Gym, and Community Programs

Sound Elite offers a Ninja obstacle course, drop-in open gym sessions, homeschool open gyms, birthday parties, and private facility rentals for daycares and preschool groups. The gym hosts South Kitsap Special Olympics cheer programming and maintains a community little library for all visitors, reflecting its commitment to serving all South Kitsap families.
